The SM120, based on the Nimbus FlexScale architecture, supports virtually any arrangement of drives in the same enclosure for maximum flexibility. The SM120 provides dual 12 Gigabit Serial Attached SCSI ports for connecting to the IP storage system and up to three subsequent SM120 enclosures. It features fully redundant components, including controllers, power supplies, and fans. By connecting via SAS, instead of Gigabit Ethernet like clustered iSCSI arrays, storage expansion traffic is fully isolated from host traffic for maximum performance. |
